The Mental Health Specialist is responsible for providing support, case management, and crisis intervention to individuals dealing with mental health issues. The role includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating interventions to promote mental well-being. This position requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment and Evaluation
- Conduct initial assessments to determine clients’ mental health needs and develop a comprehensive understanding of their psychological, emotional, and behavioral health.
- Utilize evidence-based tools and diagnostic criteria to identify mental health conditions and assess the level of care required.
Treatment Planning and Intervention
- Develop individualized plans based on clients’ needs and clinical assessment, ensuring alignment with therapeutic goals.
- Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based therapeutic methods
- Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed to support clients experiencing acute mental health crises.
Case Management and Support
- Coordinate services and resources to support clients’ treatment goals, including referrals to other healthcare professionals, support services, and community resources.
- Monitor and track clients’ progress, updating treatment plans and adjusting interventions as necessary to meet evolving needs.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Communicate effectively with clients’ support systems, providing guidance on managing mental health and supporting recovery.
Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies.
Professional Development and Education
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practices in mental health care and to maintain relevant licensure.
- Educate clients, families, and community members on mental health topics, promoting awareness and reducing stigma associated with mental health issues.
Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure: Valid Psychologist Licensure Examination (PLE)
- Experience: At least [4-5 years] of experience in a clinical mental health setting, providing therapeutic services and case management.
- Able to work onsite at our Pasig Center

- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic methods (CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, etc.).
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard clinical documentation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional Certifications: Certification in specialized therapies, such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, or substance use counseling.
- Language Skills: Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Specialized Experience: Experience working with specific populations, such as young proffessionals, or with specific mental health challenges, such as trauma, addiction, or severe mental illness.
